Every passionate athlete will find something to enjoy in Bystřice. As in every true cradle of modern pentathlon stars, you’ll find a swimming pool, shooting range, fencing hall, and stables with paddocks and jumping courses. Within the elementary school grounds, there is also a sports and gymnastics hall as well as a fitness centre.
In addition to indoor facilities, there is an outdoor workout park and a climbing wall near the school, two grass football fields, as well as an artificial-turf field with a 200-meter running track. In the PZKO complex and along the Hluchová River, you can also find tennis courts, an outdoor gym, and a beach volleyball court.
Stables with Obstacle Courses
The modern Vitality Stable focuses on fostering encounters between humans and horses — as friends, therapists, or teachers. This is made possible through leisure activities for children and youth organized by the Horse Riding Club or through popular day camps We are a recommended hippotherapy center, with a professional team of therapists and specially trained horses. The Prince Albrecht Secondary School also uses our facilities for educational and practical training in programs such as rider, horse breeder, and the agri-business graduation program.
Visitors can also enjoy carriage rides offering beautiful views of the Beskydy Mountains.

Indoor Gym
The House of Children and Youth features a modern gym with two separate areas – a weight-training hall and an aerobics hall. The weight-training area offers machines for isolated exercises for individual muscle groups, as well as a multifunctional tower and free weights. The aerobics area is equipped with treadmills, stationary bikes, and steppers.

It is located in the PZKO park and consists of a set of outdoor exercise machines where exercisers perform exercises using their own body weight.

The modern outdoor workout park was opened in 2015. The facility is open year-round, and currently hosts a supervised training group. Due to high demand and popularity, the municipality is planning to expand the park with additional space and exercise equipment. In 2025, the workout park was extended with new strength-training elements.
Climbing wall for children
A brand new sports facility. It involves climbing on a small wall, only a few meters high, without safety equipment. A foam landing area below the wall ensures a safe jump or cushions any fall. It is a modern leisure activity that encourages children to develop a positive relationship with nature, friendly relationships, strong will, and determination.
Indoor Swimming Pool
The Bystřice Indoor Swimming Pool is part of the sports complex of Elementary School and Preschool Bystřice 848 , operated by the Municipality of Bystřice , and is open year-round . The pool was built in 2001. The main pool measures 25 × 8.5 m with four lanes and a variable depth from 90 to 160 cm. Adjacent to the main pool is a children’s bay measuring 13 × 4 m , with water attractions and a depth ranging from 70 to 90 cm, ideal for enjoying time with kids. This area also offers relaxation features such as a water spout, bubble bench, water wall, and floor-mounted massage jet. The pool is heated to a temperature between 28 and 32°C , making it suitable for swimmers of all ages and skill levels
